Nursing Council of Kenya Education & Examination Officer Jobs Nursing Council of Kenya Education & Examination Officer Jobs Key Responsibilities Education Regulation & Quality Assurance Implement approved nursing and midwifery education policies, guidelines, and standards. Facilitate implementation of curricula and training materials. Process student indexing applications and verify eligibility. Coordinate indexing of students trained locally and abroad. Support review and evaluation of curricula and training programmes. Assess and approve nursing and midwifery programmes and institutions. Conduct compliance audits on curriculum implementation. Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building support to institutions. Verify credentials of nurses trained outside Kenya and prepare evaluation reports. Maintain accurate records and databases for indexed students and approved programmes. Examination Administration Implement examination policies, procedures, and guidelines. Process examination applications and verify candidate eligibility. Monitor registration processes and prepare candidate lists. Administer, invigilate, and supervise licensure examinations. Assess and approve examination centres. Support preparation, distribution, and accountability of examination materials. Coordinate examination setters, moderators, and invigilators. Process examination appeals and candidate inquiries. Prepare examination reports and performance summaries. Maintain examination records and databases. Research, Monitoring & Evaluation Collect, analyse, and maintain education and examination data. Support departmental research activities. Prepare policy briefs, technical reports, and position papers. Maintain research databases and records. Disseminate research findings and best practices. Execute monitoring and evaluation activities. Monitor departmental work plans, performance targets, and risks. Quality Management Systems Implement quality management systems and procedures. Maintain departmental quality records and documentation. Participate in ISO implementation, audits, and continuous improvement. Support implementation of audit recommendations. Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Service Liaise with training institutions, examination centres, and students. Provide information and guidance on education and examination services. Respond to stakeholder inquiries and correspondence. Participate in forums, workshops, and consultative meetings. Administrative Responsibilities Prepare periodic reports and departmental statistics. Participate in planning, budgeting, and procurement activities. Maintain departmental records and correspondence. Serve in committees, taskforces, and working groups. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized institution. Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Valid Practising Licence issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing. Curriculum Development Course (minimum two weeks). Proficiency in computer applications. Demonstrated integrity and professional competence. Fulfilled requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
