NLAS is hiring a Deputy Director Corporate Communication skilled in strategic communication, public relations, media relations, and corporate brand management. REFERENCE NO. NLAS/DDCC/3/1/2026/8: Qualifications For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have; At least 15 (Fifteen) years cumulative work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Assistant Director, Corporate Communication or in comparable position in the Private or Public sector; Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Journalism, Mass communication. Or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; Masters’ degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Relations, Public Communication from a recognized Institution; Certificate in Leadership Course Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable; A valid practicing license where applicable; Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. Duties and Responsibilities The Deputy Director Corporate Communication is responsible for the following functions; Overseeing development, implementation and review of corporate communication policies, strategies, standards, guidelines and procedures; Advising management on policies and strategies for promoting service visibility; Overseeing development and implementation of NLAS communication and branding strategy; Liaising with other departments to develop, packages and disseminate information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials to stakeholders; Development, implementing and reviewing of NLAS customer Service strategy; Coordinating Corporate Social Responsibility programmes; Developing an effective customer service charter and system; Managing the corporate image of the service; Establishment and managing linkages with other stakeholders; Overseeing the development and implementation of departmental budget and work plans; Ensuring prudent utilization of resources allocated to the Department; Overseeing preparation of resources allocated to the Department; Overseeing preparation of newsletters, speeches, publications and other materials; Managing internal and external communication channels; Undertaking staff training and sensitization on customer and public relation; and Coordinating official communication with the media and coverage of NLAS’ events and activities. Remuneration will be in accordance with NLAS Salary Scale: NLAS GRADE 5.
