Senior Corporate Sales Executive Job Purpose: Drive the growth and retention of General Insurance business through effective management of an assigned portfolio of insurance brokers, with responsibility for achieving higher premium and business development targets. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role is responsible for developing strong broker relationships, identifying new business opportunities, strengthening retention, and providing quality service to brokers and clients in line with the Company's underwriting, service and business development standards. Key responsibilities: Secure new General Insurance business through assigned insurance brokers in line with set premium and business development targets. Retain and grow existing General Insurance business through proactive portfolio management and effective broker engagement. Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with assigned brokers and key clients to maximize business opportunities and strengthen business retention. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned broker portfolio and the wider market. Provide excellent customer service to insurance brokers and clients and ensure timely resolution of service issues and complaints. Service existing business and coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure timely resolution of policy, claims, commission and other broker-related issues. Floow -up on renewals and proactively engage brokers to maximize renewal conversion and retention of business. Forward proposal forms, risk notes and other relevant documentation to the underwriting team and ensure timely progression of business. Undertake initial underwriting assessment within delegated authority and approved guidelines to support sound risk selection and efficient business turnaround. Follow up premium collections and support timely resolution of outstanding premium issues within the assigned portfolio. Recruit and onboard new insurance brokers in line with business development objectives and contribute to expanding the Company's broker network. Develop and execute market and broker-specific business development initiatives to achieve assigned objectives, reviewing approaches based on market performance and emerging opportunities. Conduct product and process training for insurance brokers and intermediaries and submit training schedules and reports as required. Promote and utilize authorized incentive schemes to drive new business and strengthen broker engagement. Develop strategic partnerships with key brokers and share relevant market intelligence, business opportunities and competitor insights with the Business Development Manager. Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and other relevant functions to facilitate seamless service delivery and achievement of business objectives. Prepare and submit accurate weekly, daily and other business performance reports as required. Monitor performance of the assigned broker portfolio against agreed targets and proactively identify actions to address performance gaps. Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time. Knowledge, experience: and qualifications required Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Marketing or another relevant business-related field. Professional qualification in Insurance such as DIP IIK, DIP ACII, ACII, or equivalent recognized insurance qualification. 4–6 years' relevant experience: in the insurance industry, preferably in General Insurance sales, business development, broking or a related client-facing role. Demonstrable experience: in managing an assigned portfolio of insurance brokers and delivering agreed premium and business development targets. Demonstrated experience: in developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients and converting business opportunities into sustainable revenue. Technical/ Functional competencies: Strong understanding of GI products, coverage, exclusions, policy terms and market practices. Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining productive relationships with brokers and intermediaries to grow business. Proficiency in managing an assigned broker portfolio, driving growth and maintaining strong retention levels. Sound application of risk assessment principles and underwriting guidelines within delegated authority. Effective management of renewals, identification of retention risks and implementation of actions to secure continued business. Strong oversight of outstanding premiums, collection follow-up and timely resolution of receivables. Effective negotiation and influencing skills to engage brokers and clients and achieve business objectives.
