Min Qualification: Diploma Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 4 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Kenya Job descriptions & requirements JOB TITLE FARM SUPERVISOR NATURE OF JOB FULL TIME INDUSTRY AGRICULTURE SALARY KSHS.20,000 JOB LOCATION KIBWEZI DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Crop Production Management Plan, coordinate, and supervise crop production activities including land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. Monitor crop health, identify production challenges, and implement appropriate measures for pest, disease, and productivity management. Maintain accurate crop production records including inputs, yields, costs, and performance reports. Livestock Production Management Oversee daily livestock management activities including feeding, breeding, health monitoring, and general animal husbandry practices. Ensure proper implementation of livestock health programs, hygiene standards, and animal welfare practices. Maintain livestock records including feeding schedules, treatments, production performance, and inventory records. Farm Operations Supervision Coordinate daily farm activities and allocate tasks to farm workers to ensure efficient execution of production plans. Supervise, coach, and motivate farm employees while ensuring adherence to farm procedures and safety standards. Monitor use and maintenance of farm tools, equipment, machinery, and other operational resources. Farm Planning and Resource Management Support development and implementation of farm production plans, budgets, and operational schedules. Manage farm resources including labour, inputs, equipment, and supplies to optimize and minimize wastage. Monitor operational costs and provide recommendations for improved efficiency and profitability. Farm Records and Reporting Maintain accurate farm records covering crop production, livestock performance, inventory, labour, and operational expenses. Prepare regular reports on farm activities, production performance, challenges, and recommendations. Ensure proper documentation and availability of records to support decision-making and compliance requirements. Quality Control and Compliance Ensure adherence to agricultural best practices, farm policies, environmental standards, and safety requirements. Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions where standards are not met. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing farm productivity and sustainability. KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related agricultural field. Minimum of four (4) years’ experience managing or supervising a commercial mixed farm. Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in crop and livestock production systems. Experience supervising farm teams and managing agricultural operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Good planning, organization, and decision-making abilities. Financial management and cost-control skills.
