KPMG East Africa is hiring a Tooling & Automation Lead to design and implement automation solutions and optimize IT processes. The role is based in Nairobi and experience in technology delivery or operations is required. Position Summary The Tooling & Automation Lead is a Senior Manager-level role responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing the technology tools and automation capabilities that underpin KPMG T&I’s delivery operations. This role removes manual effort from the delivery workflow – automating governance, reporting, communication, and testing processes – and ensures that KPMG T&I’s internal delivery infrastructure keeps pace with the growing scale and complexity of the portfolio. As AI-powered tooling increasingly transforms professional services delivery, this role ensures KPMG T&I remains at the leading edge of technology-enabled service delivery. Qualifications Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field. Certification in at least one automation or DevOps platform (Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Robotic Process Automation, or equivalent). Minimum 8 years of experience in technology delivery or operations, with at least 3 years in a tooling, automation, or DevOps engineering role. Hands-on experience building automation workflows using low-code/no-code platforms (Power Automate, Zapier, Make) or scripting (Python, PowerShell). Experience with project management tooling (Jira, ADO, Smartsheet) and portfolio reporting automation.
