The role plays a critical part in maintaining a productive workforce while ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws and organizational policies within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment and Talent Acquisition · Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of employees. · Prepare job descriptions and advertise vacancies in collaboration with departmental managers. · Conduct reference checks and facilitate employment documentation. · Coordinate employee induction and orientation programmes to ensure successful integration into the organization. · Maintain an updated talent pipeline for critical operational positions. Employee Relations · Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related concerns and provide timely support. · Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and engagement initiatives. · Handle employee grievances, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policy and Kenyan labour laws. · Support managers in resolving workplace issues while maintaining fairness and confidentiality. · Promote a positive organizational culture and employee well-being. Performance Management and Learning · Coordinate performance appraisal processes and monitor implementation across departments. · Support managers in setting performance objectives and conducting employee evaluations. · Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning programmes. · Maintain employee training records and evaluate training effectiveness. · Support succession planning and employee career development initiatives. HR Administration and Compliance · Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation. · Ensure compliance with the Employment Act, Occupational Safety and Health regulations, NSSF, SHIF, PAYE, and other statutory requirements. · Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, transfers, promotions, and separation documentation. · Monitor employee attendance, leave administration, and other HR records. · Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and procedures. Payroll and Benefits Administration · Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, leave, and statutory deductions. · Coordinate employee benefits administration and resolve payroll-related queries. · Ensure timely submission of statutory deductions and compliance reports. · Support periodic payroll audits and reconciliation exercises. HR Reporting and HRIS Management · Maintain accurate employee information within the HR Information System (HRIS). · Generate periodic HR reports covering recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, training, and workforce statistics. · Monitor HR metrics and provide insights to support management decision-making. · Ensure proper filing and secure management of HR records. Health, Safety, and Workplace Compliance · Promote compliance with workplace health and safety policies within the manufacturing environment. · Participate in workplace safety initiatives and employee wellness programmes. · Support investigations relating to workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions. · Work closely with departmental managers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION · Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. · Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage. · Membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and possession of a valid practising certificate is an added advantage. · Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in Human Resource Management. · At least 2 years in a supervisory or HR leadership role . · Experience in
