Nursing Council of Kenya Director Registration & Licensing Jobs Nursing Council of Kenya Director Registration & Licensing Jobs Key Responsibilities Formulate, implement, review, and monitor registration and licensing policies, regulations, and standards. Oversee registration, enrolment, licensure, retention, and certification of nurses and midwives. Ensure maintenance, integrity, and security of registration and licensing databases and professional registers. Oversee implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of internship programmes and centres. Coordinate CPD requirements, approvals, and compliance processes. Oversee retention audits, private practice assessments, temporary licensure, and student permits. Manage verification and certification services for practice, immigration, and employment. Lead research, data analysis, and policy reviews to support evidence‑based reforms. Drive automation and digital transformation in registration, licensing, and records management. Develop and implement departmental work plans, budgets, and performance frameworks. Monitor departmental performance and prepare technical, operational, and management reports. Coordinate stakeholder engagement and respond to inquiries from practitioners and institutions. Provide leadership, supervision, mentorship, and performance management for staff. Coordinate capacity‑building initiatives to strengthen departmental competencies. Qualifications & Experience Master’s Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or a health‑related field. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Midwifery. Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Valid Practising Licence issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Membership in a relevant professional association in good standing. Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks. Proficiency in computer applications. At least twelve (12) years’ relevant work experience, with five (5) years at senior management level. Demonstrated managerial, administrative, and professional competence. Experience in registration, licensing, regulatory compliance, healthcare administration, or professional regulation. Key Skills & Competencies Required Strategic leadership and management skills.
